A Great Journey

'A Great Journey' is a JRPG inspired by the old school JRPGs from the 90's and early 2000's. (like Final Fantasy 7-10, Legend of Dragoon, Grandia 2, Xenogears, etc.)

The game is currently in alpha state and you can play about 2.5 to 3 hours.

My goal is a small game (that's why I call it 'small JRPG') with a playable time of about 5 to 6 hours.
All assets (expect some sounds and few textures), programming and music are created by my own.

You are playing Zen, an apprentice of the old order.
Together with your tiger (in this world called Trigon) you travel to the forbidden north to save your blind friend Mira.

• Linear story based game, without the typical good and evil
• Action Time Battles (with option to pause the battle while it's your turn)
• Random encounters
• An (small) overworld

• Three party members (and a fourth member in the end of the current version)
• 5 locations (dungeons) with bosses
• 32 different enemy types
• One town and four enemy free locations
• About 60% of the story can be played
